Aanandaa is a living demonstration of permaculture in action. What was once barren land has been transformed into a thriving ecosystem of trees, food, water, wildlife and people. Through regenerative farming, seed saving, education and ecological design, we explore how human needs can be met while improving the health of the planet. Aanandaa is a place of learning, abundance and hope—showing that by working with nature, we can create resilient and beautiful futures.
Concerned about the future of our planet and searching for a more meaningful way to live? Aanandaa offers practical inspiration through permaculture, regenerative agriculture, natural building and ecological living - showing how humans can thrive while regenerating the earth.

From Barren Land to Abundant Food Forest
In 2011, this land had no topsoil, no biodiversity, and almost no life. Today, thousands of trees, insects, birds, and people coexist here in a continuously evolving food forest. We grow 150 food crops and harvest millions of litres of rainwater each year!
